KEN DUNLAP received a B.S. in Geology from Baylor. Ken began at Texaco and reached the position of Supervisor of Eastern Hemisphere Operations before taking a position as Division Geophysicist at Houston Oil & Minerals where his efforts were important to the astronomic growth of the company. He then worked as Chief Geophysicist for Great Western Resources. Following that stint, he joined Horizon, where he teamed up with Gus Fiongos in implementing the first known AVO work in the onshore Gulf Coast. This big breakthrough seismic technology resulted in finding several 50+ BCF and one 20+ million barrel fields in Texas. Ken is a key player at New Century and he has been involved in almost every discovery the company has made. Ken is a member of GSH, and SEG. He is a native Texan and won a gold medal in basketball in the 2004 and 2006 Senior Olympics. He continues to closely follow all the athletic events of his Alma Mater, Baylor University. |
