Phil Martin
President and CEO
Phil Martin has served as the CEO
of several successful oil and gas companies with operations in Texas and
Louisiana. He is a fourth-generation earth scientist and is skilled at
using cutting edge technology and old-school experience to drive
profitable exploration programs. He has repeatedly excelled in
identifying and quickly seizing new opportunities as they arise.
Phil is an expert in the field of
geology and a popular speaker on a variety of technical subjects. He
presented "An Industry Perspective on Shale Gas Plays" at the Houston
Geological Society (HGS) sponsored Mudstone Conference in Houston in
February 2010. He presented "The Haynesville Shale Reveals Its Secrets"
at the Society of Independent Professional Earth Scientists (SIPES)
Continuing Education Seminar at the Marathon Oil Conference Center in
January 2009 and at the (SIPES) National Convention in Hilton Head,
South Carolina in April 2009. He previously presented "Fishing with
Dynamite: 3D Seismic Exploration in the Gulf Coast" to the HGS, and to
SIPES Chapters in Lafayette, Oklahoma City, and Corpus Christi, as well
as the South Texas Geological Society in San Antonio. He also presented
"Thriving as an E&P in a High Decline World" at Tudor Pickering's Hotter
'N Hell Energy Forum.
Phil received a B.S. in Geology
from Louisiana State University and a M.S. in Geology from University of
Louisiana. Phil is a Certified Petroleum Geologist, (DPA No. 4333),
Certified Earth Scientist (SIPES No. 2390), and a Licensed Professional
Geoscientist (State of Texas No. 5393). He is a member of
AAPG,
HGS,
SEG,
Onshore Exploration Independents, and
Houston Producers Forum. He is
Chairman of
True Electric, LLC and Chairman of
Geological Data Library. He sits on
the Board of the
Houston Energy Council, the
Houston Chapter
of SIPES, and is a Director and Vice President of the SIPES
National Board. Phil is also a member of the AAPG Trustees Foundation,
the LSU Foundation, and the
European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers.
Phil is involved in numerous
sports and outside activities and is a member of the Houston Chapter of
Chaine des
Rotisseurs, the Societe Mondial du Vin and Les Amis
d'Escoffier. He is a Fellow of the
Culinary Institute of America, based in
Hyde Park, New York. He and his wife Narda have four sons and they are
both heavily involved in their education and activities.

Narda Martin
Vice President and CFO
Narda Martin is Vice President and
Chief Financial Officer of New Century Exploration, Inc. She manages
the accounting department and all treasury and accounting
responsibilities for New Century. She also manages the employee benefits
programs for the company, including a performance-based bonus system,
optional project participation, and an excellent medical insurance plan
for employees.
Narda is also President and CEO of
True Electric, LLC, a Retail Electric
Provider covering the state of Texas. Narda has also implemented
401-K's for employees, Narda is the mother of four sons and is also
involved in many outside community activities. She is an active member
of the Woodlands Chapter of the Chaine des Rotisseurs, the Societe
Mondial du Vin and Les Amis d'Escoffier.

Lindsay Holly
Contracts and Regulatory Manager
Lindsay Holly is one of the original
members of the New Century team and plays a key role in the success of
the company, managing all contracts and regulatory matters. She is also
involved in many other aspects of the company business.
Lindsay is a native Houstonian and
graduated Cum Laude with Honors from Texas Christian University with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. She has many outside
interests and a large extended family in Houston. Her husband is an
architect and a proud alumnus of Texas A&M.

Duncan DuBroff
Gulf Coast Exploration Manager
Duncan DuBroff, Gulf Coast Exploration Manager
of New Century Exploration, received his B.S. degree in Geology from
Florida State University in 1967. As an exploration geologist with over
40 years of E&P experience, he has worked with both large and small
independents and excels in generating and screening drilling prospects.
He has previously been vice president of exploration/operations and also
president of a small independent. He has extensive experience in both
onshore Texas and Louisiana.
During his career, Duncan has led
teams responsible for the discovery of more than 240 BCF and 11 MMBO
from eight field discoveries and six field extensions in Louisiana and
Texas. Being a long time member of
AAPG, SIPES, HGS, Onshore Exploration
Independents, and Houston Producers Forum, he has a large professional
network. Duncan is Chairman of the Hospitality Committee for the
Houston
Chapter of SIPES, and is the head of the ad hoc "Maps in
Schools" committee. Duncan plays a key role at New Century
Exploration. He lives with his wife (and two cherished cats) in Houston
and and they maintain a residence in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Jeff Grimes
Land Manager
Jeff Grimes is the Land Manager for
New Century. This is a key role, as a significant portion of the
company's assets are comprised of oil and gas interests. In addition to
other software,
iLandman is an important tool in
managing the large and complex land records of the company. Utilizing
this large database allows the company to move swiftly and with
precision toward opportunities.
Jeff attended South Texas College and
has many valuable years of experience managing lease acquisition
programs in several states, with an emphasis on Texas. He has managed
numerous lease acquisition teams and projects and is responsible for
generating many new opportunities for New Century. Jeff is a native
Texan and lives in Spring with his wife, son, daughter, and loyal dog
Buster. He is an active member of the
American Association of Petroleum Landmen and the
Houston Association
of Petroleum Landmen. Jeff is an avid sportsman and enjoys
many outdoor activities including golf, hunting and fishing.

Ken Dunlap
Chief Geophysicist
Ken Dunlap is Chief Geologist at New
Century. His skills at interpreting 3D seismic data play a big role in
the success New Century has had for several years. He thinks outside
the box and his understanding of the subsurface is phenomenal. Perhaps
some of his abilities were inherited from his father who was a
well-known architect in New York and Texas. Ken also manages seismic
processing for New Century.
Ken received a B.S. in Geology from
Baylor, where he was a member of the track team. Ken began his career
at Texaco and reached the position of Supervisor of Eastern Hemisphere
Operations before electing to move to a smaller company. His next
position was Division Geophysicist at Houston Oil & Minerals and his
efforts were important to the astronomic growth of that company. He
also worked for Great Western and Horizon, where he was involved in the
first known AVO work in the onshore Gulf Coast. This big breakthrough
seismic technology resulted in finding several 50+ BCF and 20+ million
barrel fields in Texas.
Ken lives in Houston with his wife
Virginia. He is a member of the Geophysical Society of Houston and the
Society of Exploration Geophysicists. He is a native Texan and won a
gold medal in basketball in the 2004 and 2006 Senior Olympics. He
usually attends the summer Olympics and continues to closely follow all
the athletic events of his Alma Mater, Baylor University.

Walt Stone
Geological and Geophysical Specialist
and IT Manager
Walt Stone is a highly skilled
Geologist and Geophysicist with a specialty in technology, especially
including GIS, computer systems and imagery. Walt’s specialized skills
cause him to be highly sought after in the Geological, Geophysical and
Land departments of the company.
Walt received his B.S. in Geology
from Lamar University in 1979. In the same year, he joined Cities
Service, working the Federal Tracts in the Gulf of Mexico, first as an
Exploration Geologist for Cities, and then later as a Senior Development
Geologist for Occidental Petroleum. Walt has worked as an independent
geological and geophysical consultant in various regions, including the
Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, Argentina, Paraguay and offshore
Africa. He lives in Houston with his wife, a well known and popular
author.

Clendon Caire
Engineering Manager
Clendon Caire is Engineering Manager
for New Century. He is instrumental in managing all aspects of New
Century's operations, from well planning to drilling, completion and
production. He utilizes a broad network of other consulting engineers
and oilfield professionals located in the various areas where New
Century operates. He has over 40 years of experience in oil operations,
primarily in Texas and Louisiana.
Clendon received a B.S. in
Petroleum Engineering from LSU and completed graduate courses in
Petroleum Engineering, Mineral Law and Business Law from the University
of Louisiana. He began his career with Texaco and rose to become
District Production Engineer, involved in drilling, completion,
production and work-over operations. Before joining New Century he also
worked for Cockrell Corporation and as Engineering Manager for Zinn
Petroleum. He and his wife Lucy, a popular local artist, live in
Houston.

Candyce Ter Haar
Communications Manager
Candyce Ter Haar is in charge of
communications and public relations for New Century. She is responsible
for project reports, communications and scheduling of most company
activities. Candyce lived in Trinidad and Indonesia before moving to
Houston. She is also heavily involved in raising her son and daughter.
Joe
Arredondo
Business Development
Joe Arredondo is involved in Business
Development for New Century. Joe graduated with multiple degrees from
Texas A&M. He has worked on many New Century projects over the last 10
years and has extensive connections in the oil and gas community. Joe
is from Falfurrias, Texas and has extensive contacts in the Valley and
across the state. He is also actively involved in
True
Electric, LLC.

Seth Jortner, RL
Landman
Seth Jortner is a Petroleum Landman
with a specialty in land and lease title. His experience includes work
in the Gulf Coast, North Louisiana, and East Texas. He earned a B.A in
Petroleum Land Management from Texas Tech in the Rawls College of
Business. He is a Notary Public and an active member of the
American Association of Petroleum Landmen, the
Houston Association
of Petroleum Landmen, and the
International Petroleum Association of America.
Seth’s wife is a teacher and they live in Spring Texas.
